Choose your Makan Malaysia jar

Build a satay meal, cook a pot of rendang or open a jar of sambal almonds to share. This listing brings together five Makan Malaysia products, with a separate flavour and pack size for each option. Select the jar you want from the menu; each option is sold individually.

Pasar Mart UK is an official Makan Malaysia distributor. Su and Kat began the business with supper clubs in 2018, sharing the Malaysian food they grew up with. Their range now includes cooking sauces, meals and snacks.

Find the right jar for your kitchen

• Peanut Sauce, 190g: Roasted peanuts, lemongrass and tamarind for dipping cooked satay skewers, dressing a rice bowl or stirring through noodles. Serve hot or cold.
• Satay Marinade, 300g: A fragrant blend of lemongrass and spices. Coat chicken, tofu or your chosen protein, marinate in the fridge, then cook thoroughly before serving.
• Ginger & Garlic Sauce, 300ml: An aromatic starting point for chicken rice, stir-fries, curries and soups. It can also be served with dumplings and fried snacks.
• Rendang Curry Paste, 300ml (Preorder): Coconut, lemongrass and warm spices for a curry that thickens as it cooks. Add your chosen protein and follow the preparation instructions on the jar.
• Sambal Almonds, 150g: Whole roasted almonds coated in sweet, spicy sambal and sesame. Ready to eat with a drink or to scatter over a finished dish.

Planning a satay meal?

Choose the Satay Marinade for coating your protein before cooking, and the Peanut Sauce for dipping at the table. To buy both, add each option separately to your basket. Serve the cooked skewers with cucumber and rice.

Ingredients and allergens by variety

Satay Marinade 300g: Shallots, water, gula melaka (coconut sugar), lemongrass (8%), sunflower oil, ginger, garlic, tamarind, ground cumin, ground coriander, fennel powder, salt, turmeric. Allergen advice: No specific allergens declared. Made on a site that handles all major allergens; may contain traces.

Ginger & Garlic Sauce 300ml: Garlic, water, ginger, sunflower oil, vinegar, salt. Allergen advice: Check the jar label for the full allergen and cross-contamination advice before use.

Peanut Sauce 190g: Water, shallots, peanuts, coconut sugar, sugar, lemongrass, sunflower oil, garlic, tamarind, galangal, salt, chilli. Allergen advice: Contains peanuts. Check the jar label for cross-contamination advice and any recipe updates.

Rendang Lemongrass Curry Paste 300ml: Coconut milk, shallots, lemongrass, sunflower oil, red chilli, coconut flesh, tamarind, garlic, gula melaka (coconut sugar), galangal, salt, dried chilli, cinnamon, cardamom, ground cloves, star anise, citric acid. Sambal Almonds 150g: Almonds, maple syrup, sambal (chilli, shallots, ginger, garlic, galangal, tamarind, sunflower oil), sesame, sugar, salt. Allergen advice: Contains almonds (nuts) and sesame. Produced in a kitchen that handles all allergens.

Storage and preparation

Keep unopened jars in a cool, dry place. Follow the storage instructions on the selected jar after opening. The sauces and marinade have different uses; cook with the Satay Marinade and Rendang Curry Paste as directed. The Sambal Almonds are ready to eat.
