Use a small amount as a savoury base for sambal, fried rice, laksa or kangkung; fry it with your aromatics so its flavour mellows into the dish. This concentrated shrimp paste is a cooking ingredient, not a snack.

Store unopened in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigerate after opening and use within the period stated on the pack.
