Malaysian Keropok Ikan Fish Crackers Now Available in the UK!
Choose the fish-cracker format that suits how you want to eat them. This listing includes ready-fried crackers for immediate snacking and raw crackers for preparing at home.
Keropok ikan is a familiar part of Malaysian food culture, especially on the east coast. The savoury fish flavour and light crunch make it a regular accompaniment to a meal or an afternoon drink.
Ready-Fried 500g: prepared fish crackers you can open and eat. Serve plain or with chilli sauce, keeping the sauce on the side until you take a bite.
Raw 500g: uncooked crackers that need frying before eating. Follow the packet method, cook in small batches and drain the prepared crackers before serving.
Crushed Ready-Fried: the ready-to-eat option supplied as broken pieces. Useful for casual snacking, adding crunch to a rice bowl or serving when the size of the pieces is less important.
The ready-fried crackers are delicate, so some breakage can occur in packing and transport. Handle them gently when serving and keep them away from steam or wet ingredients.
