How to Cook Your Asam Pedas
Heat 1 tbsp cooking oil over medium heat.
Add 1 packet of paste and sauté until fragrant and oil separates.
Pour in 1 cup (≈ 250 ml) water, stirring well.
Add ~200 g fish (or your choice of protein), 3 okra (lady’s fingers) and 4 stalks of laksa leaves.
Reduce heat and simmer for about 2 minutes — then serve piping hot with steamed rice.
