Eu Yan Sang began in Gopeng, Perak, in 1879, when Eu Kong opened a small herbal shop serving the local mining community. The business went on to establish itself across Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, becoming a familiar name in Chinese herbal halls and family cupboards.

The original chicken essence keeps things simple. It is made entirely from chicken essence, with no added herbal ingredients, and can be enjoyed straight from the bottle.
