Makan Malaysia Satay Marinade 300g

Malaysian satay starts with a well-seasoned marinade. Makan Malaysia Satay Marinade brings together lemongrass, ginger, garlic and ground spices in a 300g jar, ready to coat chicken, tofu or your choice of protein before cooking.

Lemongrass gives the paste its fresh, fragrant character, while coriander, cumin and fennel add warmth. Coconut sugar helps the coating colour as it cooks. Serve the finished skewers with rice, cucumber and a bowl of peanut sauce for dipping.

How to cook with it

Coat your chosen protein evenly, cover and leave it to marinate in the fridge overnight. Thread onto skewers if you like, then barbecue, pan-fry or oven-cook until cooked through. Turn regularly so the marinade colours evenly without catching.

More than a barbecue marinade

You can cook the marinated pieces without skewers, too. Try them in a rice bowl with cucumber and pickled vegetables, or tuck them into a wrap with salad. Tofu works well when drained before marinating, giving the paste a better surface to cling to.
