MyKuali Penang Hokkien Prawn Noodle Cup has a savoury prawn broth with chilli warmth and springy noodles. It is based on Penang Hokkien mee, the Malaysian prawn noodle soup known for its seafood flavour and fried-onion finish.
In Penang, Hokkien mee is a soup dish, so expect a bowl of noodles and prawn broth from this cup. MyKuali’s version uses its seasoning and paste to make a recognisable prawn mee flavour in a format you can prepare with boiling water.
The Malaysian brand was created by a Penang-born founder who wanted familiar home flavours to be easier to enjoy. This cup follows that approach, giving you a single serving of Penang-style prawn noodles without needing to prepare a stock from scratch.
Follow the instructions and water fill line on the cup, cover while the noodles soften, then stir thoroughly to mix the seasoning through the broth. If you are eating at home, add a boiled egg, cooked prawns or blanched greens after preparation.
