The Kitchen Food was founded in Sibu, Sarawak, in 2012, starting from a local coffee shop with a simple goal: to share the true taste of Sarawak’s beloved kampua noodles in an easy, ready-to-cook format. It has since been named in Malaysia’s SME100 Hall of Fame.

In Sibu, kampua mee is the breakfast of choice: springy Foochow noodles tossed in shallot oil and seasoning, served with slices of char siu and a bowl of clear soup. It is the dish Sibu folk are proudest of, and one of the first things they crave when they come home.

How To Enjoy

Boil the noodles according to the pack directions, drain well, then toss with the included seasoning sachets. Serve as they are or add char siu, minced meat, egg, spring onion or vegetables.
